Learn About Me

Hi, I’m Jordan! Welcome to my portfolio! I am a Boston-based game designer and student in the Game Design program at Northeastern University's College of Arts, Media, and Design. As a designer, I specialize in designing the systems and mechanics that provide the backbone to players' experiences through interdisciplinary collaboration, playtesting, and iteration. I have experience working in Unity and Unreal on projects in various genres, including fighting, turn-based tactics, platforming, and FPS games, with teams ranging in size from 4 to over 100.

When designing games, I like to keep three things in mind:

  1. The relationship between coded gameplay mechanics and human choices

  2. Incorporating the perspectives of developers outside of the design discipline into design decisions

  3. Developing games from the standpoint of service: doing everything in my power to craft memorable and engaging experiences for players through my work while supporting and building up my fellow developers.

Playing games is an essential part of the human experience, allowing us to connect with each other through shared experiences, whether fun and exhilarating or stoic and contemplative. My passion is being part of the process that makes these experiences possible.

When I'm not working on games, you can usually find me listening to a good book by a warm fire, hiking through the Lands Between, or fly fishing on a misty morning.
